Same when you hit them with a giant 2h Hammer. If this animation activates they don't move an inch, aside from the pre-rendered movements, so it looks completely unnatural. If you normally shoot someone with magic they will fly back because of its power.

The worst part is, after the animation is over the transition into the ragdoll state is so painfully obvious, so if they're on the edge of a cliff they'll do the animation in mid air, then drop as they should. The time it took to make that god awful animation could have been used to make another kill move. There was nothing wrong with the simple "go limp" ragdoll death of oblivion and (for the most part) skyrim. Why? Just freakin why.ĭid you think it looked more satisfying to include a hollywood inspired death? When people die they dont dramatically spin around like they're in a mosh pit. That death animation where they spin around and drop to the floor. Does this bother anyone else? One of my only real gripes about this game.
